Originally from London, I’ve been living in West Hagbourne for 8 years. My son Edward will be in the under 7’s team alongside other children from Blewbury and Cholsey – so it will be great to bring young footballers from across the district together to represent the Bluebirds. |

I grew up in the village and although I've been all over the Country as an adult, there is no better place than "home" and no better Club than Cholsey Bluebirds. I am very proud to be involved with such a great group of adults, parents and especially, the children. |

BARRY PRIMMER 31/8/2005 and before 1/9/2006 dm@diondion.plus.com 01491 651145 07711 475960 18 Cross Road Cholsey OX10 9PE I have been involved with football in Cholsey for 36 years now , having played for the Bluebirds in my early years and progressing into Cholsey Utd men's football on Sunday mornings under the guidance of the unforgettable Ron ‘’Flippy’’ Fox. I was a regular for Wallingford Utd and AFC Wallingford Res on Saturdays. After a back injury put a stop to my playing I moved into management at United. This was my way of staying involved and was run along side my involvement with the Bluebirds under 6s at the time, which I took up to under 15s. My next challenge was my current team which, along side assistant Barry ‘’King’’ Primmer, we intend to relish every moment. We are committed to Cholsey Bluebirds and the Village that has always been our home. We hope that every single boy or girl who comes along will enjoy what we're trying to achieve. We always have time for anybody who would like to come along whether to play or train. We have met so many friends either playing with or against over the years and hope the boys and girls will do the same. |

Andy Chapman, a parent, took over the team in 2010 as U8s and I welcomed a new group of U7s. I have stayed with them and the 2015-16 season will be my 6th. |

ANDY CHAPMAN
31/8/2002 and before 1/9/2003 - 01491 652121 07753 949575 - I grew up in Cholsey playing for various Bluebirds age groups up until my teenage years. I have played football on a regular basis over the years both at university and then when returning home with various company teams and groups of friends which I continue to do now. After moving away from Cholsey in my early 20s, I moved back in 2005 where I now live with my wife and three children. Initially, I was involved in the club as a parent watching my son play in the Under 7s. I took on the coaching and management responsibilities as they moved to Under 8s once the children had had an excellent grounding in football from Dave Evans (now U11s manager). Since the late 1990’s I have also been involved in running Cholsey Cricket Club and have successfully seen the club move from the recreation ground in the village to Cholsey Meadows. The aim of the cricket club is based on the same philosophies I apply to the football team - to promote an environment where people of any ability can come and enjoy taking part in sport in a friendly, safe and supportive environment. |

STEVE WILKINSON
WES HUMPHREYS 31/8/2001 and before 1/9/2002 jow2012@gmail.com - 07759 704876 - I have lived in the area all my life and in Cholsey for the past 11 years - I have been manager for the U14s since they started some 7 years ago. My two sons thoroughly enjoy playing for Cholsey Bluebirds and my oldest lad, Freddie, has also enjoyed helping coach the Rising Stars. I am delighted that Wes Humphreys has agreed to help me run the team this year. His calm, quiet approach compliments me brilliantly and his successes at this summers' tournaments were our best yet. Again, all our admin is handled brilliantly by Karen Fox - I couldn't do it without her ! (I think I'd better put "and the wife too" !) |
