Summary of the 2014-15 Season so far
All change with the U10 for season 2014/15 with Pete McAlister taking charge. After an unsuccessful 2013/14 which saw the team not win a single game we got off to a great start winning 3-0 in our first game. That result was followed up with several good performances which yielded another win, a draw and several defeats. The autumn Trophy event saw us lose narrowly 3-1 to Radley Youth from the division above, and we also lost the runners-up final 2-0.
The new year has seen a draw and a few close defeats. The progress the boys have made over the last 6 months has been superb and, with more hard work, we will only continue to get better. Training is on the flood lit area of the playing field every Wednesday 6-7pm, new players are most welcome to come along and join in.

Summary of the 2013-14 Season
The team have enjoyed a challenging season with a great deal of change and some new players joining. The boys have played their hearts out and have had some great "defeats" - but they've always worn big smiles on their faces.
They've often played sides that have enough players to field 2 teams, when our team have only just had enough players to field the one. This did not deter them and although they were playing the second half of their fixtures with tired legs against a team with fresh legs, they were relentless in their efforts.
The team has really come together well and the improvement has been fantastic. We look forward to seeing further improvement next season when they face some further change with a new manager - Pete McAlister.
Thanks go to Sam, Max, Thomas, Freddie, Nathaniel, Connor, Ben, Albie and Jack and of course we shouldn't forget the supporters !

Like the England team here in Brazil, our performances and results could have been better this season. However, the players and their families have been a pleasure to work with each week. If we can keep the existing squad together and add another few players, we hope to improve next season. Just like England, there is always the hope that we will do better next time.
Our template for next season will be as follows:
The mental strength of the Germans
The team spirit of Chile
The flair of Columbia
The goalscoring of the Dutch
The style of the Italians
The support of the Brazilians
The black humour of the English
plus Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez up front.
