Summary 2019/20 as U10s
Another successful season for the under 10s, with the boys continuing to show outstanding effort, team spirit and attitude throughout the campaign. In the autumn league, we topped the table to be promoted from the D league to the C league to maintain our run of successive promotions having started in the bottom tier two-and-a-half seasons ago. We also made it to the final of the trophy event, going down 3-1 to Abingdon on an almost unplayable pitch during the pre-Christmas floods.
By the time the winter/spring league was halted, we had won all five of our C league matches, and unfortunately went out of the knock-out cup in the semi-final on a penalty shootout away to Heyford Park.
As always, sincere thanks to parents, siblings, grandparents and everyone else who has supported the team along the way and well done boys for another great year.

Summary 2018/19 as U9s
The 2018/19 season was another successful one for the under 9s. We continued to make progress up the leagues and managed to win some silverware along the way. We beat Goring Robins in a tense final of the autumn league event, with a last-minute equaliser and a penalty shootout seeing us lift our first trophy of the season. This was followed by victory in the final of the knock-out plate against Berinsfield, before winning the final of the spring / summer league event against Blackbird Leys.
All of the boys have progressed tremendously throughout the season, with their technical ability and understanding of the game continuing to develop. Our success has been based on a disciplined formation, rock-solid defence, hard-working midfielders and a lightning fast attack. Most importantly, the boys have approached every training session and every game with a fantastic attitude and a commitment to teamwork. We conceded less than a goal a game on average across the season and scored well over 100 goals in total.
Finally, a huge thank you on behalf of Paul and myself to all of the parents, siblings and other family members who have shown such support and dedication every week…we couldn’t do it without you!

Summary 2017/18 as U8s
The U8’s team started midway through the season in December 2017 and we were entered into the OYFL G League. We had 14 players signed up for the season, with each child playing a mixture of competitive matches and training games.
Our league form was fairly mixed to start with, as we found our feet and understood the relative ability of the children. Our introduction to cup football came against Oxford Blackbirds who were in the E League and we beat them 7-2. Our cup journey started over the following 2 weekends, where we ended up winning our first silverware. Most teams we played were 3 leagues above us.
Towards the end of the season we played in the Trophy event and following a draw earlier in the season against Florence Park Boys, we beat them in the semi-final to set up another final at the Oxford City 3G pitches, which we won against Horspath Youth.
Overall the G league was a very good standard with some challenging fixtures across the county - we scored 108 goals and the Golden Boot for the season was Harry Carter with 38 Goals.
Finally, many thanks to our season Kit Sponsor, Barry Robson at RCM Solutions.
