We enjoy a great reputation across Oxfordshire and beyond as a friendly, fun and fair club, and we have a hugely supportive atmosphere, created by our committed parents, managers, players and club administrators. I took my son’s team from 5 year-olds to 18 year-olds and really enjoyed every season. I was the Club’s Chairman from 2003 to 2016 and also help organise our Annual Summer Football Tournament that takes place on the last weekend each May. We have developed a strong reputation as a club that cares for everyone associated it - players, parents and officers/managers - we are a TEAM. We also have great training and playing facilities in the village. We pride ourselves on having nice people involved with the club as administrators, managers, players or parents. The club’s longstanding treasurer was retiring, so the opportunity to polish off my abacus presented itself. Although a busy year, I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 12 months. The Bluebirds is a great club which I’m privileged to be a part of, as an officer, and in the future, as a parent on the side line ! |

I retired from Primary School teaching 8 years ago and have always had an interest in IT. Following the departure of our previous website secretary 6 years ago, another long time supporter of the Bluebirds and previous player, David Dewey, set up this website and I have volunteered to manage it since then. This will be my 6th year and any ideas and suggestions for improving or expanding it will be most welcome. |
