We enjoy a great reputation across Oxfordshire and beyond as a friendly, fun and fair club, and we have a hugely supportive atmosphere, created by our committed parents, managers, players and club administrators. About Glenn :
It is now 22 years since I first became involved with this great little football club. I took my son’s team from 5 year-olds to 18 year-olds and really enjoyed every season. I was the Club’s Chairman from 2003 to 2016 and also help organise our Annual Summer Football Tournament that takes place on the last weekend each May. We have developed a strong reputation as a club that cares for everyone associated it - players, parents and officers/managers - we are a TEAM. We also have great training and playing facilities in the village. We pride ourselves on having nice people involved with the club as administrators, managers, players or parents. Dave Evans dave.vans@virgin.net 01491 652547 88 Station Road Cholsey OX10 9QB I moved to Cholsey from London in 1998 and have been a part of the Bluebirds set up for the past 11 years. I retired from Primary School teaching 9 years ago and have always had an interest in IT and producing Newsletters. Following the departure of our previous website secretary 7 years ago, another long time supporter of the Bluebirds and previous player, David Dewey, set up this website, I volunteered to manage it since then. This will be my 7th year and any ideas and suggestions for improving or expanding it will be most welcome. I took over the Tournament Programme editing from Dave Miners 5 years go and feel it is now one of the best in the County. At the same time I also volunteered to organise the Tournament Charity Raffle - sharing the proceeds equally between the Club and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. To date, the Club has helped to raise almost £2500 each for the ourselves & the TVAA. An achievement of which we are immensely proud. |
