Summary from 2020/21 as U16s
New season, new division after promotion from the D League was achieved the previous year. The season started fairly well with 4 points from our first two games but then for no apparent reason we hit a sticky patch with several defeats on the trot, which knocked our confidence. By the time, the Covid lockdown occurred in mid-December we had a record of won 2, draw 1, lost 4 which put us lower mid table, sadly that would be our highest position for the remainder of the campaign. A collection of circumstances saw us finish the season with just 1 draw and 6 defeats which had us finish bottom of the league. I think generally when you finish last it is because you were not good enough, but I have a lot of sympathy for the lads as injures (seven players out at one point and a game abandoned for a dislocated knee), poor form and a disrupted GCSE year all had a bearing on how we finished.
As per normal I would like to thank the players for working hard for the whole season, parents for their support and Ben Davies for helping me.

Summary from 2019/20 as U15s
Absolutely gutted but understand why the season had to come to an end and finally be voided, sadly for the U15’s we were one win away from winning the league title which would have been our first ever as a group. I can only thank the lads for all their hard work this season which saw them win 9, draw 3 and lose just once. We were the leagues top scorers as a team and also individually with C.S-D. netting an impressive 20 goals. We also had the league’s meanest defence marshalled by the ridiculously good A.M. conceding just 19 goals in 14 games. Multiple players shone in their positions this year but the likes of A.M., B.R., J.B., C.S-., K.B., D.R. (who we discovered was an amazing centre back) and N.Z. were the pick of the bunch.
Highlights were the 5-0 demolition of title rivals Appleton Youth at home, beating St.Edmunds 13-0 away and narrowly beating a very good Quarry side 2-1 to basically secure the title. We scored at least two goals in every game and played some terrific football at times. We also performed very well in the Berks & Bucks cup getting to the 4th round before losing to A league side Didcot Town.
I am lucky to have a full squad of 22 players at my disposal and everyone of those lads has performed at some stage this season to help us achieve our goal which was to win the league. Coronavirus may have robbed us of our title but as far as I am concerned every one of our lads is a league winner.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my assistant Ben Davies for his help and support throughout the season, and also to all the parents who turn up every week to support the lads. Once we have the official go ahead we will resume our usual training slot.

Summary from 2018/19 as U14s
2018/19 was a season of two halves, it saw us start life in the C league after promotion the previous year and we found that challenging to start with, winning just one of our first five games. Knocked out of both the league and county cups at the first hurdle. Life continued to be tough in the division with us managing just a draw and another win and by Christmas we found ourselves near the foot of the table.
Things had to change otherwise we’d be sliding back into the D league, so we decided some new signings were necessary if we were going to be competitive. The plan worked as the arrival of Adam Mellors brought us much needed strength in defence whilst Dan Reynolds brought us pace and A league goalscoring up front, after arriving from rivals Crowmarsh.
To say those two signing changed our season would be an understatement - they helped the other lads fulfil their potential which culminated in us losing just two league games out of our last eight. The upturn in form left us in 7th position, 6 points clear of relegation. We also got to the semi-final of the spring cup losing to the eventual winners Oxford Irish.
Every single player has given his all this season and the team, after an indifferent start, has again progressed in its development. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my assistant Ben Davies who has helped run the team and also the parents whose support is much appreciated, they are a credit to the club and the lads.
We will continue to train throughout the summer every Wednesday 6-7pm (pitch just behind the mound and before the concrete bridge) new players are most welcome to come along and join in.

Summary from 2017/18 as U13s
2017/18 was always going to be an interesting year, our best player left in the summer and that meant the lads now had to learn how to play as a team, no longer could they rely on Zak to score 5 goals a game for them.
The Autumn campaign went fairly well, we won 4, drew 1 and lost 2 which left us in fourth place. However, had we won just one more game we would have finished second.
We started the second half of the season in January with a cup game against Goring from the league above and we proceeded to get smashed 10-1. The signs were not good but that result seemed to galvanise the lads and we finished the Spring campaign in second place earning promotion, with our final stats being Won 6, Drawn 3 & Lost 0.
What was most pleasing, was we only conceded 8 goals in those 9 games. At any level of football, conceding less than a goal a game is impressive. By the way the side that won the division won every game except the draw they got when they played us !
Football is a team game and it is often hard to find the balance between competitiveness and giving everyone a fair share of minutes on the pitch. I like to think I give all the boys a fair crack and I have to say, every single player has given his all this season. They have all improved and most importantly, we have become a better team.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ben Davies, my assistant, sounding board and most importantly friend, who has helped me run the team the last few seasons. He is always there to help with the goals and equipment, he runs the line and he generally calms me down when I’m losing my head, so well done my Phil Neal !!
Lastly, just a big thank you to the best group of parents I could have, you are all a credit to the club and the lads.

Summary from 2016/17 as U12s
U12's almost had the perfect season, promoted in the first half of the year and narrowly missing out on back to back promotions with a defeat in our last game. Very happy manager who has seen this side grow immensely over the last two years.
A full squad of 18 will be used to the max next season as we switch to 11 a-side for the first time.

Summary from 2015/16 as U11s
2015/16 was all about building from last season’s success, we also had to contend with moving to 9 a-sides and learning the offside rule. Impressively we achieved all as the lads took to the bigger pitch and offside rule quickly and we also started as we had ended last season with some strong autumn performances. Our fine play saw us beating several teams by double figures and we went on to win the F league and thus gain promotion to division E. We completed a memorable double by winning the autumn Trophy event 8-1 against Grove.
The spring campaign was pleasing as we more than held our own in the new division winning 3 and losing 4, however 3 of the loses were by a single goal and could have quite easily gone the other way. Our only real disappointment was a 4-1 defeat to Kennington in the final of the Spring Supplementary Cup.
I’m please to say we have also won the Fair Play Award for the whole of the U11 Oxford Mail Youth League which is voted for by referees and demonstrates the lads, management and parent’s commitment to fair play.
Every single player has giving his all this season and the team as a whole has again come on leaps and bounds. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ben Davies who has helped run the team in my absence and also the parents who are a credit to the club and the lads.

Summary from 2014/15 as U10s
The 2014/15 season could not have finished any better for us; the culmination of all our hard work resulted in a superb 3-1 victory away to Radley Youth that saw us win The Spring Supplementary Trophy. The season had started with a change in management, Pete McAlister took over and got off to the best possible start with a 3-0 win over Florence Park. Up to Christmas the boys worked hard and were rewarded with another couple of wins and a draw.
After Christmas we continued to progress and gained another two wins and a draw amongst a number of close defeats. What was pleasing was the games we were losing, only by the odd goal and several opposition teams commented on our improvement from last season.
The cherry didn’t quite get to sit upon the proverbial cake but we came mighty close to a huge upset in the Didcot Tournament. We narrowly lost the final of the main tournament 2-1 to Harwell & Hendred. To show just how far the boy have come Harwell & Hendred won the A league this year, we play in league F.
This team had often struggled with numbers in past seasons, I’m glad to report that is no longer the case as we have a full complement signed on and several others involved. At our age group we play two games a weekend and in 95% of those games this season we were able to field two completely different sides.
Every single player has giving his all this season and the team as a whole has come on leaps and bounds. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the parents who are a credit to the club and the lads.
