Summary 2019/20 as U8s Whites
A dramatic and exciting first full season has come to an end, albeit a start stop one but none the less it has been thoroughly enjoyable.
We started the new campaign in division D after securing promotion in the first season of the whites being formed.
Instantly it was noticeable that the standard of football in this division was at a higher level as we were not afforded the time on the ball and the opposing teams were far more clinical.
However, we ended the winter/spring campaign with 2 loses and 5 wins meaning we finished within the top 2. Securing back to back promotions.
With covid still very much prominent at this stage we played a much-changed trophy event, making the final but before we could play this we were plunged into another lockdown.
Once the go ahead was given to return to football the first game to be played was out trophy event final against Abingdon which we lost 4-1. A game which had come to soon after restrictions were eased with no training or preparation being afforded.
This seemed to spur the team on as we started the Autumn campaign in division C where we went unbeaten winning 6 and drawing 1, securing our third straight promotion. An amazing and inspiring achievement.
We now look forward to playing in Division B under the new format of 7v7 when the season restarts.
Each player has been an absolute pleasure to coach this year and they have worked so hard under challenging conditions and I can’t wait to see them progress going forward.
Thank you to all the parents, friends & family for their continued support and encouragement.
Bring on the 2021/22 campaign.

Summary 2019/20 as U7s Whites
What an action-packed season!!
At the halfway point of the season the U7’s split into 2 teams which saw the emergence of the U7 Whites, exciting times….
A few days later we took part in the Autumn Trophy Event and got off to a strong start, winning our first game before facing a very strong and well organised Witney Vikings team in the next round, bringing our weekend to an end.
We then ventured into our first league campaign as the Whites in the winter/spring league division E south where the boys hit the ground running winning their first 5 games before tasting defeat for the first time in difficult conditions against Abingdon Youth Yellows.
The boys bounced back stronger than ever to win their next game leaving us in the top 2 after 6 games.
We took that form and lessons learnt into the Spring Trophy Event where the boys showed amazing character to top the group taking us through to compete against some very strong and experienced teams with a chance of our first silverware.
That is unfortunately where lockdown hit bringing our first season to an end.
It’s hard to say what the future will bring but one thing is for sure is that when grassroots football returns this group of boys will be ready with their enthusiasm and love for the game stronger than ever.
Adam and I are extremely proud of the achievements and efforts from the boys this year and what to thank all the parents, families and supporters.
We look forward to seeing you all soon.
Stay Safe!!
